<a href="#comment-1453" rel="nofollow">@Sadique PK</a>
Hi Sadique,

Just open the class file and go through the functions and documentations. You'll find that apart from the basic fetchForm() function there are other functions such as remove() and add() etc. These functions will facilitate adding extra fields OR removing desired/unwanted fields from the building query.

Remember to use the printQuery() function alternative to run(), which will print your building query and make the whole process easy and interactive.

PS: You really need to open the class file and go through other functions. There is more there than what has been mentioned in this blog.

Hi Atul,
As you have already read in the introduction, MagicQuery is a PHP class that can automate the task of writing INSERT and UPDATE database queries. Whats unfortunate for you is that this class doesn't deal with Querying database (I think thats what your looking for). of course, every class has some particular task which it is fine tuned to.

Thank you for the comment Bob. I just thought to keep the blog simple by showcasing some basic functions of the Class. Thats why I purposely left out the file uploads even though it was there in place. Updated the Blog now to include the working of file update function. Please take a look..

Once again I thank you to have inspired me to write more about the Class.

Does the issue of selection between above 2 options is a concern here as the users of two different models are expected to be very different? Model based is supposed to be handled by business users/analyst but the other one is more of programmers tool.

Ever noticed the button saying "I'm Feeling Lucky" on google.com ?

This button does nothing special but simply skips the search results page and goes directly to the first ranked page. Its handy if you're fairly confident that the first result in the search engine is going to be exactly the page you want to find.

What I mean to say is, I've always admired the way this button is named. They could have come up with more than a dozen technical names for the same. If I were to name it, I'd rather stamp anything like, 'Pick the first', 'Skip the results', 'Direct hit' or something that emphasizes the action the button is supposed to do.

By naming it so, Google has set out a whole new way of 'conveyance' and this got to be one of the hidden reasons why Google is so much popular.
