In many intranet implementations we got involved with in the past, we noticed that organizations plan and execute well at the scope and technology level. However, they fail to get enough user adoption to the newly implemented platform or process change as expected. When we juxtapose successful and not so successful intranet implementations, in our experience, we could identify that the organizations primarily focus on selecting a particular platform such as SharePoint, Liferay etc., and technology related matters instead of focusing on what really matters to the users.
