A name can mean a lot if your hearts are into it. And becomes more meaningful if you plan to live with it. Often, We meet people who are curious about “Aufait” ’s origin and meaning. We’re not quite sure of what makes them curious.But, one thing we are clear now: Aufait is standing out and thats what we wanted it to be.

In 1999, when we floated the idea of forming a company, the name “Aufait” was suggested by a co-founder’s brother. We all liked it and without a second thought, decided to stick to it. Though for many, pronouncing this French word exactly was a mild tongue twisting activity, It sounded very different and creative. Moreover, we had the passion to work and make it meaningful. Today we seriously strive to walk the talk. We have it in our core values and our presentations carry the slogan “We mean it” along with it.

Another pleasant surprise was awaiting us. We were planning to register the name for our Middle East entity and were really excited to learn that Aufait has a similiar word “Ufeth” in Arabic. It means something to the effect of “fullfilling commitments” and again we would strive to live upto the name.
